Performance Database
The database contains information on the technical performance, reliability and costs of PV systems and subsystems located worldwide. The information is gathered and presented by means of standard data collection formats and definitions. The database user can select PV system data, present monitoring data and calculated results, and in addition export these data into spreadsheet programmes. This tool can be used to check the operational behaviour of existing PV plants and to get a report on its performance results in standard quantities allowing cross-comparison between the systems.
The Performance Database contains high quality data of 505 monitored PV plants with an installed peak power of more than 13,5 MW adapted to various applications (power supply, domestic uses, rural electrification, professional applications). The implemented PV systems are located worldwide and operate therefore under different climatic conditions. Most of the monitoring data have been gathered under various national demonstration programmes in the IEA PVPS member countries: e. g. Austrian Rooftop Programme, French Rural Electrification Programme, European Commission's Thermie Programme, German 1000-Roofs-Photovoltaic-Programme and One-Hundred-Thousand-Roof-Programme, Italian Rooftop Programme, Japanese Sunshine & Field Test Programme and Swiss demonstration programmes. A collection of such a variety of high quality operational data presents a unique tool for PV system performance analysis.
